Before beginning my write-up I will like to say a couple of words about well being.
“Each and every human becoming is the author of his own well being or disease.”
“He, who has well being, has hope. And he, who has hope, has every thing.”
“It is health that is genuine wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.”
What a fantastic question. Somebody has asked where mental well being specialists go when they require help for themselves.
There is a myth that counselors are immune to human frailties, and they are above the fray. This myth may be harmless except there is a toll paid by the unwary for ignoring the symptoms.
It is interesting to note that studies report a really high number of people who enter the helping professions with resolved or unresolved issues from their childhood. It does not take a mind reader to figure out that some of these could try to unconsciously function out their conflicts while treating other people. Frequently patients or customers are confused when a counselor becomes overly protective, angry or aggressive, over-identifies with the patient, shows anger and indignation, or has failed to maintain boundaries.
